Amber oversees all aspects of BDO FMA’s Certified Nonprofit Accounting Professional (CNAP) training program and facilitates the ongoing community of graduates via LinkedIn and other media. She is a strategically minded, data-driven problem solver and gives careful attention to continual improvement of the CNAP participant experience.

She has more than a decade of program leadership experience. Prior to joining BDO FMA, Amber spent over 6 years with Columbia University’s Chazen Institute for Global Business where she managed several programs including the Global Study Tour Program, successfully sending over 2,000 students on short-term intensive study trips, and the Sir Gordon Wu Distinguished Speaker Series which draws prominent thought- and business leaders to Columbia to share their perspectives on China.

After earning a BA in Psychology from Cornell University, she started her career teaching high school English in rural Japan through the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program. Amber also holds an MPA from Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs with a concentration in Advanced Management and Finance. She currently sits on the Board of Directors of the JET Alumni Association of New York.
